The plane was late and detectives werewaiting at the airport all morning. They were expecting a  valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa. A few hours earlier, someone had told the police that thieves would try to steal the diamonds. When the plane arrived, some of the detectives were waiting inside the main building while others were waiting on the airfield. Two men took the parcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House. While two detectives were keeping guard at the door, two others opened the parcel. To their surprise, the precious parcel was full of stonesand sand!

 练习感悟：/ð/的发音仍然会有问题，单独的音标或单词都能做到尽量注意，但是一旦在句中，就时常会读成/s/。昨晚突然发现除了第一天的昨天投稿了，其他作业都没有完成投稿，老糊涂了！
