SAP应用/实例/进程

在实施SAP项目的时候，Basis组内部讨论一些技术问题，其中对应用、实例、进程有些混淆，在这里总结一下：

1、Application
SAP ECC，PI，BI，Solution Manager之类属于应用。现在的SAP基础架构是在NetWeaver之上，并且SAP的应用系统都可以堆积木方程对接，随意还有很多SAP应用可以无缝对接。

2、Instance
Central Instance， Dialog Instance，DB Instance都属于实例，其中SAP ECC，PI，BI APPx可以再分CI（Central Instance）、DI（Dialog Instance）、DB（DB Instance）实例。
ADM100中解释：
An instance of an SAP system is an administrative unit in which the components of an SAP system, that provide one or more services, are combined. The services provided are commonly started and stopped. All components of an instance are provided with parameters using a common instance profile.

3、Process
最容易跟Instance混淆的，实际上一个或多个Process在一个Instance之上运行。
