Today I am going to introduce you a picture book named "I poop", written by Janine Lee and illustrated by Yun Sam.

"I Poop", one of the Honey English picture books, was my son's favorite book in this series. The story is about a boy who eats different foods and then, poops in different shapes.

On the first two pages, he eats fruit and vegetables and his poop is a long banana poop.On the second two pages, he eats a chewy piece of meat, he has a round marble poop. On the pages 5 and 6, he eats ice cream, and this time his poop is loose. On the pages 7 and 8, he doesn't eat anything and he poops nothing. At last, he is farting  and the writer lets the readers guess what shape of poop he will make this time.

For my son at 3+ back then, this book was really funny. Every time when I read "I poop, a long banana poop/a round marble poop/my poop is loose...." , he laughed and laughed. Since he knew the word "poop", he started to use it every time when he goes to the bathroom.

For children it is a good book to learn names about different foods. Although it only reads general food names like fruits, vegetables or meat, parents could lead the children to read pictures in which the specific foods are shown and tell them how they are named in English.

In addition, it is a book to learn about shapes in a funny way (learning shapes through poop!!!)

Also, i think children could learn about how poop is "produced" (a biological process)...hahahaha

Food vocabulary in the book that you need to tell your children:

Vegetables: broccoli, carrot, mushroom, eggplant, tomato

Fruit: orange, strawberry, kiwi fruit

Meat: fried chicken, beef, pork

ice cream: ice cream cone, a scoop of ice cream, Popsicle
