how to install splint

Environment: ubuntu 3.13.0-24-generic

run in virtual machine

How to get the Opensource?

From web :http://www.splint.org/download.html

when I choose splint-3.1.1.Linux.tgz to downloade,Then tar,./configure make.......then find the messages like this：

root@tony-virtual-machine:/work/splint-3.1.1# make

I do not know why and how to solve.

then try to choose another Source Code :splint-3.1.2.src.tgz and test it is ok !

you can do like this:

#tar -xvf splint-3.1.2.src.tgz

#cd splint-3.1.2

#./configure --prefix=/usr/local/splint

#make 

#make install 

......

succesed to install the splint.

Then configure the bashrc:

#vi ~/.bashrc

add some XXXX like this:

export LARCH_PATH=/usr/local/splint/share/splint/lib
export LCLIMPORTDIR=/usr/splint/share/splint/imports

save and quit.

#source ~/.bashrc

final add splint to environment variables:

export PATH=/usr/local/splint/bin:$PATH

Then you can use splint commend !!!!
