Speaking from his home Clarence House, the Prince of Wales was filming a message about his upcoming tour of West Africa with the photo frame behind him.
The snap, which also features his sons Prince William and Prince Harry as well as their wives the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, was taken at Prince Louis' christening in July.
Charles, 69, has been very open about how much he enjoys being a grandfather in the past - and revealed his excitement over the news that his younger son, Harry, is expecting his first child next spring with his wife of six months Meghan.

Earlier this month Charles revealed he had already toasted Harry and Meghan's pregnancy news 'several times'
He was quizzed about Harry and Meghan's happy news the day after their announcement while visiting the Royal Lochnagar Distillery in Crathie.
Asked if he had toasted the couple, Charles laughingly replied: 'Oh yes, absolutely. Several times.'
The future King expressed his delight at becoming a grandfather for the third time after Prince Louis was born earlier this year.

In a statement, he said: 'We are both so pleased at the news. It is a great joy to have another grandchild, the only trouble is I don’t know how I am going to keep up with them.'
Speaking about being a grandparent previously, he said: 'It's a different part of your life. The great thing is to encourage them. Show them things to take their interest. My grandmother did that, she was wonderful.
'It is very important to create a bond when they are very young,' he added.

Earlier this year it was revealed that the Queen's eldest son has a close relationship with Prince George, having planted dozens of tree varieties when he was born five years ago.
He said in the new BBC documentary, Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, that 'I hope it will be quite amusing for George, as they grow up, and he grows up'.
Prince Charles shared the picture of his grandchildren in his living room while discussing his upcoming tour of the Gambia, Ghana, and Nigeria.
The visit will coincide with the Gambia rejoining the Commonwealth earlier this year. Charles confessed that he and Camilla have both never visited the country, but looked forward to enjoying the beauty of its natural environment.

In the clip, Charles said: 'On this occasion I'm so pleased to be introducing my wife to some of the places that I remember so well.'
He also spoke about the ties between the two countries and the contribution of British Gambians, Ghananians and Nigerians to the UK.
The tour will begin today and will last nine days before the couple's return to London just in time for Prince Charles' landmark 70th birthday on November 14.
Scott Furssedonn-Wood, Charles' deputy private secretary, said the couple were visiting the three countries at the request of the British Government.
He added: 'Their Royal Highnesses' visit will celebrate the UK's historic ties with these three Commonwealth nations, and also our dynamic contemporary partnerships with each of them in areas ranging from business to the arts, defence co-operation to medical research.
'The tour will also highlight the people-to-people links between our countries and the invaluable contribution they make to our shared prosperity and security.'
