When we two parted
    In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted
    To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
      Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
    Sorrow to this!

      当初我们俩分离，无言泪流，心儿破碎，沉寂多年!你的脸儿憔悴冰凉，甚于你的吻，昔日早已预告，今日的悲苦！

The dew of the morning
    Sunk chill on my brow-
It felt like the warning
    Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
    And light is thy fame:
I hear thy name spoken,

    And share in its shame.

      清晨洒下的露珠，浸湿我的眉头，它似乎是一种警告，正如现在的感知。你将誓言离弃，名誉置之；你的名字被提起，我深感羞愧。

They name thee before me,
    A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o’er me-
    Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee
    Who knew thee too well:
Long, long shall I rue thee,
  Too deeply to tell.

      他们又一次说你，如丧钟鸣耳；一阵寒颤袭来，我竟对你用情至深?他们不知我了解你，我也懂你；我会永远地遗憾，情深难言。

In secret we met-
    In silence I grieve,
That thy heart could forget,
    Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
    After long years,

How should I greet thee?                          With silence and tears.

      也曾秘密相约，默默心伤，你的心儿会遗忘，你的灵魂会伪装。经年几许，你我若能再相见。我如何与你致意？心无言，泪两行。

初次尝试英文诗歌翻译，借鉴穆旦诗人译本，也有一些自己的创意改编。

其实，我们在读诗也是在读故事，你会找到自己与作者心意相通的某一个点。而我因为一句诗，爱上整首诗，更爱上这位诗人。
