Day7

After analysing the mindmap sample, I found that the mindmaps are formed by small but important points in articles. Those points built up the whole articles. However, they seem scattered in articles. Only by processing them can we better understand the whole idea of the author.

More importantly, after several days' learning, I beome more active in reading instead of feeling like carrying a task with me. Before this course, I also joined Anne's. At that time, I struggled with the words that I'm not familiar with, which I always looked them up in the dictionary when reading. I realized that it was a bad habit, so I decided to kick it. I read through the article without stops, circling the strange words. Then I go back to the words, guessing the meaning according to the contents. Finally, I checked them in the dictionary, learning them with examples and digging out more about the words and phrases. I am delighted about my change in the habit of reading. And I need to give my thanks to five reading myths, which made certain clarifications for me in reading. My confidence is enhanced and my passion was aroused.

When I'm translating, there are times that I would type certain words in the search engine like google to find them used in other articles, which gave me inspirations to interpret them. Content is over format, which makes great sense when I compared my translations with the samples. I benefited a lot from the practie.

There are techniques for us to get the main idea of the whole passage. One is to highlight the words that are helpful. Another is to look at the passage in a macroscopic view.
