释义:impressive, venerable, making you feel respectful.

2.cop-out

原文:“I” can be a self-indulgence and a cop-out.

释义: a way  of avoiding doing sth.that you should do, or an excuse for not doing it.(站不住脚)逃避的方法或借口。

3.wishy-washy

原文:I give it first prize as the most wishy-washy sentence in the modern public discourse.

反思

万事开头难,写文章亦是如此。前面的段落写的一般都不会太好,所以才有了一次又一次的修改。这些道理大家都知道,可是为什么应试教育下的老师,还是会去要求学生讲究首尾两段的写法,要求“豹头凤尾”这一系列的写作要点,我不敢说它一定是错的,但是,存在即合理。这样的写法,一定有它存在的理由,一定有它的优点所在。
