summary

The book start with the sentence "Lydia is dead .But they don't know yet ." By portraying a morning , it gives a illusion that it is a normal family . Then , the author begins to  introduce the main characters slowly through different angles .

Parents with three kids .Nath ,the elderly son , may be a excellent student  for he have been to Harvord .Lydia , apparently , parents have strong preference for her and a are also strict with her .Hannah , the youngest one , doesn't get too much attention . WHY ？And why Lydia pretends she have many friends ？Why her brother knows it yet choose not to tell them ? This is NOT a normal family ！What happened 10 years ago , why did their mother ran away from home ？Does Lydia's death ralated to Jack ？
