BEX3006 - Will I survive

ACTIVITIES

Morning

T  the financial manager brought me to the office, Y (my supervisor) introduced me to the finance team.

I got my work laptop, the IT guy introduced me to ADP's IT system, had my work email and account set up.

Y gave me my first task: register creditors from the tax invoice in a spreadsheet. Invoices were from ADP account payable mail inbox.

Afternoon

Pulled out Oct. and Nov.2017' tax invoice for WSF, printed and recorded to “WSF to be billed".

REFLECTION & LEARNING

The office looks big and new, people look nice, the company looks “well equipped”.

The company looks runs lots of business as their folders on the company drive are huge, invoice in the inbox are a lot.

Wasn't sure who is WSF.Didn't  ask.

There were a lot of tax invoice to be recorded in “creditor register”, I should be careful when typing.

Wasn't sure why do we print  Oct. and Nov. 's tax invoice and create a new file to record,didn't ask. Y looks busy.

I'm typing very slowly with the number pane, it's a challenge to type quick and free of error. Keep practicing, it could be a great skill later on.

Feeling good for today! Excited, a bit nervous (how to greet? What to say? What kind of clothing should I wear?), and curious (observe other and trying to figure out what's happening).

THINGS TO DO

Make sure what you send to the printer is what you get from it, sometimes it miss some jobs.
