Shoe Dog

I drank a cup of coffee, wolfed down a piece of toast.

2. out of the blue  出乎意料地,突如其来地 (informal)

例句:One of them wrote to us out of the blue several years later.

3. devour

I'd moved into the library, devoured everything I could find about importing and exporting, about starting a company.

4. nook

I thanked my father and fled the nook before he had a chance to change his mind.

5. get/ have wind of sth

When my grandmother got wind of my itinerary, one item particular appalled her.

6. kimono 和服

7. This time, her silence equaled consent. (equal

8. I must have looked like an escaped mental patient.

1. I want to leave a mark on the world.

2. As my young heart began to thump, as my pink lungs expanded like the wings of a bird, as the trees turned to greenish blurs, I saw it all before me, exactly what I wanted my life to be. Play.

3. You tell yourself that you're running toward some goal, chasing some rush, but really you run because the alternative, stopping, scares you to death.

4. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that. ---Lewis Carroll    (如果你想去某个地方,必须尽全力去跑。)
