在Object类里面有一个方法finalize()。

protected void finalize() throws Throwable { }

可以看到该方法是一个可以被继承和重写的方法。如果一个类重写了该方法,那么在类加载的时候JVM会调用Finalizer的register方法将其封装成一个Finalizer对象,并且最终封装到FinalReference对象里面。而FinalReference继承了Reference类。
