Amazon.com Inc founder and Chief Executive Jeff Bezos, the world's richest person, and his wife MacKenzie are divorcing after 25 years of marriage, the couple said on Twitter on Wednesday. Jeff, 54, has a fortune that has soared as high as $160 billion thanks to his stake in Amazon, which again became Wall Street's most valuable company this week, surpassing Microsoft Corp.

He has credited MacKenzie, 48, for her support when he uprooted the young couple to Seattle from New York to launch Amazon, an online bookseller that grew into the world's largest internet retailer. The couple decided to divorce after a long period of "loving exploration" and trial separation, according to the joint statement.

Because the pair were married before Amazon was founded, it's likely that MacKenzie holds a large claim to that fortune, though details hinge on where the couple files for divorce and if they had a prenuptial agreement.

Half of jobs at risk

Half of current jobs will be taken over by AI within 15 years, China's leading AI expert has warned. Kai-Fu Lee, the author of the bestselling book "AI Superpowers: China, Silicon Valley, and the New World Order", told Dailymail.com the world of employment was facing a crisis "akin to that faced by farmers during the industrial revolution".

Lee, who is a VC in China and once headed up Google in the region, has over 30 years of experience in AI. He believes it is imperative(势在必行) to "warn people there is displacement coming, and to tell them how they can start retraining". Luckily, he said all is not lost for humanity.

"AI is powerful and adaptable(可适应的), but it can't do everything that humans do." Lee believes AI cannot create, conceptualize, or do complex strategic planning, or undertake complex work that requires precise hand-eye coordination. He also says it is poor at dealing with unknown and unstructured spaces.

Crucially, he says AI cannot interact with humans "exactly like humans", with empathy, human-to-human connection, and compassion. Psychiatrists, social workers and marriage counselors are unlikely to lose their jobs, along with nurses, AI researchers and scientists, he believes.

Markle given royal job

The queen has handed Meghan Markle her first official royal role, and it couldn't be more perfect for the Duchess of Sussex. Royal sources claim Meghan has been asked to take over as patron of the National Theatre, and believe it's a "natural fit" thanks to her acting experience.

Insiders say Meghan has already hit the ground running and had a private meeting with the organization's director Rufus Norris last month to discuss her new role. Like the rest of the royal family, the duchess will have a number of patronages which are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The duchess studied theater at university before landing a series of acting roles. Her big break came with the legal drama "Suits", which she starred in for seven years before she married Prince Harry.
