Ma Xiaoqiu:Seeing cultivation,virtue and quality at everywhere
今天，我在我的办公室所在楼层36楼乘电梯到31楼处理工作。由于正值午餐时段，电梯比较拥挤，当我和另一位同事进入电梯时，我发现旁边一位身形微胖的青年男士双手紧抱双臂，一双温和的眼睛和略带微笑的嘴角，使他整张脸看上去都充满善意。可以看出他之所以双手抱臂，一是怕挤到别人，二是想让自己尽量小地占用空间以方便旁边的人。我下电梯时还不禁回头看了他一下，发现他的着装不属于公司的员工，于是我在想，这样一副带着微笑、充满善意的表情其实是一种无声的温馨。从这一现象，我不禁想起在纽约的一些相同的场面。
Today,I took the elevator down to the 31st floor from the 36th floor of my office to handle some work there.As it was lunch time,the elevator was a little crowded.When I and another colleague entered the crowded elevator,I noticed a chubby young man at side clasping his arms with his hands.A pair of mild eyes and a slightly smiling mouth made his whole face look friendly.It could be seen that he clasped his arms in order to avoid squeezing others and make himself occupy as little space as possible to facilitate the people around him.When I got off the elevator,I couldn't help but look back at him and found that his dress was not those of my company's employees,Therefore,I thought that such a friendly smile was actually kind of silent warmth.From this phenomenon,I can't help but think of some of the same scenes in New York.
美国纽约，这个世界知名的发达城市，在这里我们看见的大多数人，无论是从事服务行业，如超市收银、打扫卫生以及其他服务型工作，还是被服务的对象，无论在任何的电梯里碰到，他们都会很友善地和我们打招呼。这种现象在纽约随处可见，这是什么原因导致的呢？
New York,a world-famous developed city,where most of the people we see,whether in the service industry,such as supermarket cashiers,cleaning,and other service-oriented jobs,while some people are served objects.Whenever we meet any people in elevator,they will greet us very kindly.This phenomenon can be seen everywhere in New York.What is the reason for this?
与此同时，我们还看见在整容还没有风行的年代，很多和善的人都气质脱俗、五官端正、身材高挑（女）、体格健壮（男），这又是什么原因导致的呢？
At the same time,we also saw that in the age when cosmetic surgery was not popular,many good people were temperamental,well-rounded,tall(female),and physically strong(male).What’s the reason for this?
世间万象皆有因缘，我们从佛家的经典之中不难看出，“三十二相，八十种好”，即指人的相貌有三十二种，其中就有八十种好的地方。一个人尊贵的气质和良好的相貌都源自于福报，而福报又源自于生生世世的修养和行善积德。
Everything in the world has its own karma.We can learn easily from the Buddhist scriptures that“thirty-two looks and eighty marks”,that is,there are thirty-two kinds of people's appearance,of which there are eighty good places.A person's noble temperament and good looks originated from blessings which came from cultivation,doing the good and accumulating virtue generation after generation.
因此，同样一张笑脸，一双充满善意和喜悦的眼睛，一句友好的问候，真的能让人感到温暖。事不大，但点滴中蕴含着修养、德行和品质。
Therefore,the same smile face,a pair of eyes full of kindness and joy,a friendly greeting,can really make people feel warm.It's not a big deal,but it embodies cultivation,virtue and quality.
