The Reflection of Casablanca

Casablanca impresses me deeply. In my opinion, it is not only about the love between men and women but also the love between people and country.

Firstly, it is a warm and inspiring movie. Although it takes place in a wartime, I still can see love among people. What's more, the love can make us inspired. Gradually, we seem to be them and quitely hope the war can stop. When Rick chose to help Ilsa and Victor and sacrificed himself, I felt warm. Though Rick loves Ilsa so much, he knows that he can't be selfish. He must think about Ilsa and all people. In the end, he chose to sacrifice himself. I can remember a plot in the movie. When Rick shot Major Strasser, the captain said,“Round up the usual suspects.”I was so shock about the sentence. It was such a stark contrast. No one could think about the captain can do that. The captain only to be so warm and kind. Secondly Victor is my favorite character. He is different from Rick. Rick is an ordinary people, while Victor is not only a soldier but also a great leader. I can remember a plot about Victor. When the German sang their own song, all French kept silent even if they were very angry. At that moment, Victor came up to direct French to sing their own song. From that moment, I start to admire Victor. In his heart, he really knew that he represented a nation rather than only himself. He needs to fight for all people. He plays a very significant role in a war. Thirdly, I think about some questions for discussion after I have finished the movie. The first one is: why did the captain choose to let Rick off when Rick shot Major Strasser? The second one is: why didn't Victor give away the relationship between Ilsa and Rick?

Finally, I want to say that justice will always triumph over evil because of love one day.
