Beautiful is thy wristlet, decked with stars and cunningly wrought in myriad-coloured jewels.

But more beautiful to me thy sword with its curve of lightning like the outspread wings of the divine bird of Vishnu, perfectly poised in the angry red light of the sunset.

It quivers like the one last response of life in ecstasy of pain at the final stroke of death; it shines like the pure flame of being burning up earthly sense with one fierce flash.

Beautiful is thy wristlet, decked with starry gems; but thy sword, O lord ofthunder, is wrought with uttermost beauty, terrible to behold or think of.

美哉，君之镯，饰以星辰纹，巧镶五彩珠。

吾视君之剑，其美尤过之，其弧光，若毗湿奴神鸟垂天之羽翼，完美兮翔于落日怒发之红光。

其振也，如死神降临，终极一击，其人痛苦恍然之际，回应之绝响；

其闪也，如精纯之烈焰，以猛烈之闪光，燃尽世间之生灵。

美哉，君之镯，嵌以珠宝，灿若星辰；噫，雷霆之神，君之宝剑，铸造虽绝美，望之使人畏，思之使人颤。

白话文版：

你的手镯多么精美，饰着星辰，镶着五彩珠宝，巧夺天工。

但对我而言，更美的是你的宝剑，那闪耀的弧光，像毗湿奴的神鸟伸展的翅膀，完美地滑翔在夕阳怒放的红光中。

它震颤着，像在死神最后一击下，生命在痛苦迷离中最后的回响；
