Windows Vista 5365中的SearchIndexer.exe crashing all the time

什么是SearchIndexer.exe ?

Provides content indexing and property caching for file, email and other content (via extensibility APIs). The service responds to file and email notifications to index modified content. If the service is stopped or disabled, the Explorer will not be able to display virtual folder views of items, and search in the Explorer will fall back to item-by-item slow search.

描述

After installing Vista build 5365 the SeachIndexer.exe is crasching constantly. I'm attaching an example along with the dump files.


重现步骤

1. Install Vista build 5365.
2. After installation, the SearchIndexer.exe is crasching constantly.


预期结果

I would expect is not to crash.

To disable this annoying error :

Win + R > services.msc > continue > Find the service "Windows Search" > double click it > Stop the service (if running) > choose disable in the dropdown box

That will fix all the issues with SearchIndexer.exe, but your PC will no longer be indexed (Google Desktop style).

You can fix the crashing of the Search Indexer. Go to Control Panel,
Regional and Language Options, then click on the Administrative tab and
change the non-Unicode language to English (United States) and reboot. You
will not have anymore crashes from the Search Indexer.
