GitHub is a fundamentally remote company, with less than 20% of the company heading in to the office each day. This is no accident: absence makes the team grow stronger. In this talk, we’ll show some of the tools, conventions, and culture that make this a better way to work than working side-by-side.

Ben Lavender,GitHub Ben Lavender,Ben Lavender is GitHub's only developer in New Orleans. He sits alone most days, listening to loud headphones and making websites with exploding dinosaurs. Somehow this results in work useful enough that he's an ad-hoc organizer of the local tech community. He's @bhuga everywhere.
