Diane: So, what's the object of Blackjack?
Peter: The object of the game is to get closer to twenty-one points than the dealer.
Diane: How do we count points?
Peter: Each card you hold has a face value, which gives a hand of cards a total value when added all together. A picture card is worth ten points, and an ace is worth either one or eleven points.
Diane: What is a picture card?
Peter: A picture card is either a king, a queen or a jack.
Diane: What do I do as the dealer?
Elaine: Oh, first you shuffle the cards, and then you deal two cards to each player, and two card to yourself, on face up and ome face dwon. Next, ask them if they want another card. And then, deal what they ask for.
Diane: How do we actually play our hands?
Elaine: Well, it's simple. Look at your cards, say "stand", if you are close to twenty-one. If you want to risk getting closer to twenty-one, say "hit me" to the dealer and then take another card.
Diane: How do we win the game?
Peter: Ther person with the highest number of total points under twenty-two is the winner.
