Be Independent And Confident

Last Saturday I attended Katie's baptism held at the church. She is a smart girl, who comes to Australia to learn physics and wants to become a physical therapist in the future. After having the bishop and two of her church friends affirm her progress and sincerity to join the church, we finally witnessed the baptism of Katie. She said, the water felt cold, but as long as she closed her eyes, the water became not cold anymore and she believed she was already a child of God. It is nice to have a good faith, which can act as the guidance throughout one's life.

Another thing I want to share is I am very thankful to Jenny and Ling as they teach me how to fish/ cook. It is nice to enjoy tasty food each day and it is even nicer if I can cook it on my own. Because some day I will not be able to live together with them any longer and I must become independent as soon as possible. For example, Ling showed me her large collection of various cookbooks and told me I can read them anytime. And Jenny even taught me hand-to-hand how to make garlic bread. Yummy yummy!

Besides, I went shopping with Tammy, my clinic colleague, last Sunday. To be honest, I enjoy so much getting along with her as she is more mature and much smarter than me and I can always learn small but useful things from her. For instance, she will offer to pick me up from home and drive me to different outlets to buy stuff. Due that she plays an important role in supporting her family, she has experienced a lot and knows how to behave and protect herself. Compared with her, I just feel like a little girl and hopefully, I will become as confident as her.
