看过史蒂文斯皮尔伯格导演，乌比戈德堡主演的《紫色》，却不知道原作者就是爱丽丝. 沃尔克。

听过特蕾西查普曼那首《给我一个理由》的蓝调，却不知道她的红颜知己就是爱丽丝. 沃尔克。

兼社会活动家，作家，诗人于一身，爱丽丝这首《是否记得我？》的短诗铿锵有力，对比鲜明，结构工整，修辞到位。是中学生诗歌阅读的佳品。

诗歌一开始就不断使用了一种修辞称为“平行结构”重复法。第一阙中联续三次用“I am the girl ”;

（1）I am the girl

with the dark skin

whose shoes are thin

I am the girl with the rotted teeth

I am the girl

with the wounded eye

and the melted ear.

我是一位小姑娘

皮肤黑亮

鞋子薄凉

我是一位小姑娘

牙齿烂

眼睛疼

耳朵流脓

第二阙又重复了一遍“I am the girl " 。

（2）I am the girl

holding their babies

cooking their meals

sweeping their yards

washing their clothes

Dark and rotting

and wounded, wounded.

我是那位小姑娘

怀抱婴孩

烧菜做饭

打扫庭院

搓洗衣裳

还是黑皮肤

有烂牙，四处痛伤

第三阙与第五阙完全一样的重复：

only hope.

我能给人类的

只有希望

（5）I would give

我能给人类的

只有希望

第四阙, 第六阙和第七阙都出现了类似第一，二阙那样的重复：“I am the woman”

（4）I am the woman

with the blessed

dark skin

I am the woman

with teeth repaired

I am the woman

with the healing eye

the ear that hears.

我是一名少妇

天生黑亮皮肤

我是那位少妇

烂牙全都补

视力也恢复

耳朵听力足

（6）I am the woman: Dark,

repaired, healed

Listening to you.

我就是那位少妇：

黑皮肤，身体康复

听到你们的倾吐

（7）I am the woman

offering two flowers

whose roots

are twin

我是那位少妇

献出两朵花絮

它们根连根

如双胞手足

第八阙两行又是另一种重复：把词序颠倒一下：

第九阙只有一行：

三个字，短小精悍，掷地有声，是完美的收官之作。
