1984 Book 3 Chapter 6

今天读完了最后一章，悄悄松了一口气。读这个故事让我有一点儿揪心，有一点儿折磨，还有一点儿困惑。

牢狱生活和所经历的一切，让党真正钻进Winston的心里。他背叛了Julia，Julia亦是如此。他们不再在意别人，只剩下关心自己。因此他们形同陌路、分道扬镳。

"Sometimes," she said, "they threaten you with something something you can't stand up to, can't even think about." And then you say, "Don't do it to me, do it to somebody else, do it to so-and-so......All you care about is yourself. And after that, you don't feel the same towards the other person any longer."

Winston终于迎来了那颗早晚会来的子弹，这一段我反反复复看了几遍，也没有分清这到底是臆想还是真实。但也许并没有什么分别，即使他还活着也是一具行尸走肉。因为经历了这么多，他早已不是先前的自己，他放弃了自己的思想和灵魂，终究还是爱上了老大哥。
