 Last week at a dinner-party, the hostess asked me to sit next to Mrs. Rumbold. Mrs. Rumbold was a large, unsmiling lady in a tight black dress. She did not even look up when I took my seat beside her. Her eyes were fixed on her plate and in a short time, she was busy eating. I tried to make conversation. ' A new play is coming to" The Globe" soon,' I said. 'Will you be seeing it ?'' No,' she answered. 'Will you be spending your holidays abroad this year ?' I asked. ' No,' she answered. ' Will you be staying in England?' I asked. ' No,' she answered. In despair, I asked her whether she was enjoying her dinner. ' Young man,' she answered,' if you ate more and talked less, we would b'oth enjoy our dinner!'

今天的文章带有很强的感情色彩,所以从语音语调就能感觉到年轻人和Mrs. Rumbold 不在一个频道的烦恼。尽量模仿,还是欠缺的多。原音是79秒,我没有做到饱满的感情朗读,用时69秒。

我还做不到只听就能知道课文的意思,但是现在每天都用A4纸抄下课文,在有空的时候抽时间查音标,并分句记录时间,再根据自己听的感觉来划分句子中的停顿和升降。估计是早晨眼花没看清,少抄了两个单词,在听的时候能发现出来也是进步了一点点哈。
