Part 1 Words:

1. The people had the gaiety of the south,with its songs and its women,and they loved this young famous poet just as poet , with all his desh and verve and insouciance.

名词，意思为漠不关心，无动于衷；

造句: She hid her worries behind an air of insouciance.

2. Mrs. Su was transported when she opened the window in the morning and saw beneath her the beautiful placid surface of the lake reflecting moving clouds and mountaintops and villas.

Transport : 我们知道它是“运输”的意思，其他它还有“情不自禁的，万分激动的”意思；

造句： He was transported when he saw that picture in the fair .

3. Hangchow was gay and West Lake was enticing .

Enticing : adj. something that is enticing is so attractive and interesting that you want to have it or know more about it . 迷人的；

What an enticing young lady ! She mush have dozens of admirers.

Part 2 Thoughts

Obviously Su Tungpo quite enjoyed his life in Hangchou. He loved and knew about everything there ,not only delicious food and landscape and local festivals ,but also sing-song women . All of his poems in this period were from them .

The lake was a place where the wives looked at the sing-song women with fear ,and the sing-song women looked at the wives with envy .
