Marker sentence:

Little do the thousands of people who walk past everyday realize but behind this nondescript blue door on Greek Street lies a clandestine underground drinking club.

在含有否定副词的句子当中,如never, seldom, rarely, little, hardly, scarcely,no sooner, no longer, nowhere 等这些含有否定意义的副词位于句首时,则其后要用部分倒装。

Never shall I believe him.

Hardly does she have time to go shopping with her friends.

Seldom does he do work at late night.

例句中little位于句首,因此后面句子要用部分倒装的结构,将助动词do提前,主语the thousands of people who walk past everyday置后。

Little did he know what lay in store for him

当not until...

He didn't leave the bus stop until the rain stopped. / Not until the rain stopped did he leave the bus stop.

Las Vegas is a city found in Nevada, which is near the Nest coast of the United States. Las Vegas is quite unique among U.S.

cities. Some people even named it a sin city or the city of entertainment . Sin City is renowned for its casinos, roller-coasters, nightlife, hotels, and restau-rants, some of which have become as conic as the city itself. I traveled there ast year, and I found that it's so fasci-nating.I like the majestic Caesars Palace. I enjoy seeing a show and make the most of the iconic nightlife.
