                                              Lesson88   Trapped in a mine

Six men have been trapped in a mine for seventeen hours. If they are not brought to the surface soon they may lose their lives. However, rescue operations are proving difficult. If explosives are used, vibrations will cause the roof of the mine to collapse. Rescue workers are therefore drilling a hole on the north side of the mine. They intend to bring the men up in a special capsule. If there had not been a hard layer of rock beneath the soil, they would have completed the job in a few hours. As it is, they have been drilling for sixteen hours and they still have a long way to go. Meanwhile, a microphone, which was lowered into the mine two hours ago, has enabled the men to keep in touch with the closest relatives. Though they are running out of food and drink, the men are cheerful and confident that they will soon get out. They have been told that rescue operations are progressing smoothly. If they knew how difficult it was to drill through the hard rock, they would lose heart.

mine  [maɪn]  pron. (I的所有格) 我的（东西）; n. 矿井; 矿; 地雷; 水雷; vt. 在…中开采，开采;          总觉得这个词后面是不是有故事，为什么会有“矿井”的意思呢？我这也是个奇葩的想法吧。

我相信让没有受过训练的人当众演讲和让人去死一样难受。现在网络发达，不当众，谁也看不到谁的情况下，都是忐忑的。最先开始录音的时候会紧张，虽然现在课都快结束了，但是到录的时候还是会脑袋一下子走神，卡壳。又想到了“五行缺练”，一天一天的坚持就会变的习惯点了。李尚龙说的没错，所以S和尚龙会成为朋友，因为三观一致。
