Day 18

Chapter 9 Where Do We Go from Here?

THE PROMISE OF DELIBERATE PRACTICE

HOMO EXERCENS

Summary

The experiment of UBC students perform in a designated new teaching method of physics class based on delibrate practice indicates largely improved scores of the class, which emphasized the proactive thinking, engagement, and immediate feedback.

This is how training methods could be modified based on the delibrate practice. The same was carried out for top atheletes, whose mental representation was effictive and was further improved after their training.

If the methodology is taken serious in other fields, to more population than just the very top, the effect would be astonishing. One of the fields is education, and it is also how we all should try to train ourselves and work our potential out. The skill and information of it shall be in doing and feedback.

顶尖艺术家、学者和运动员的训练成功之法,在UBC仅后半学期的大幅成绩提升中获得验证——日常的教育,练习领域,我们都可以运用刻意练习的方法获得成功。
