In Chinese philosophy, the farmer's outlook not only conditioned its content, such as that reversal is the movement of the Tao, but, what is more important, it also conditioned its methodology. 

农民的眼界不仅制约着中国哲学的内容，如前举的“反者道之动”，更重要的是它还制约着中国哲学的方法论。

Professor Northrop has said that there are two major types of concepts, that achieved by intuition and that by postulation. 

诺斯洛普教授 ( Prof. S. C. Northrop )曾提出：概念可分两种，一种来自直觉，一种来自假定。

"A concept by intuition," he says, "is one which denotes, and the complete meaning of which is given by, something which is immediately apprehended. 

“来自直觉的概念指向某个事物，它的完整的意义可以立即从某个事物领会到。

'Blue' in the sense of the sensed color is a concept by intuition....

例如，蓝色是人对某种颜色的感觉，它是由直觉得到的概念。……

 A concept by postulation is one the complete meaning of which is designated by the postulates of the deductive theory in which it occurs.... 

至于由假设得出的概念，它的完整的意义是根据一个假设，用演绎法推演出来，从而认定的。……

'Blue' in the sense of the number of a wave-length in electro-magnetic theory is a concept by postulation." 

例如，‘蓝色’用来描述电磁波的波长数字时，它是一个假定的概念。”
