Bitcoin (BTC) mining giant Bitmain has officially announced the release of two new 7nm miners which possess industry-leading hash rates designed to mine with the SHA256 algorithm, according to an official tweet. Two models will be offered, the Antminer S15 and T15.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has advanced its main blockchain project to a testing phase with 15 global banks, one of the last steps before taking the tech live. These banks will be kicking the tires of DTCC's distributed ledger and cloud-based platform for its credit derivatives Trade Information Warehouse (TIW). Upon successful completion, DTCC expects to move to an "open" testing phase by the end of the year, it said in a statement. Testing is anticipated to be completed by the first quarter of 2019 with go-live scheduled thereafter.

The Texas State Securities Board has issued an emergency cease and desist order to an Australia-based cloud mining company AWS Mining PTY LTD for selling unregistered securities, according to an official notice filed Nov. 6. Per the document, AWS Mining along with its multiple agents and Chief Marketing Officer Josiah Kostek have violated the Texas Securities Act by luring the state’s residents in purchasing AWS’ unregistered cloud mining power contracts and promising a “200 percent passive return on every investment.”
