The Rime of the Ancient Mariner&Waiting for Godot

今天，解决了两个问题。1.之前对老水手为什么要shot the ALBATROSS疑惑了很久。真的是一点征兆都没有，老水手就向信天翁伸出了毒手。向老师请教以后才知道，这其实是人性丑陋的一面，也就是原罪。老水手为什么要杀信天翁，诗中并没有交代清楚，可能只是为了显示自己的能力，或者只是想杀信天翁取乐。。不管是什么原因，射向信天翁的箭恰恰射向了人类自身，老水手以及他的同伴遭到了报应，但老水手最后明白了自己罪之所在，懂得去赎罪，然后上天原谅了他，他胸前挂着的信天翁的头也由此掉落。人类虽然罪孽深重，但懂得忏悔,这也是希望所在。

2.关于Beckett的一出荒诞喜剧，Waiting For Godot。老师说Godot由两个词构成。一个是God，后面那个我上网搜了一下没有找到(有人说the name Godot comes from the French "godillot" meaning a military boot. Beckett fought in the war and so spending long periods of time waiting for messages to arrive would have been commonplace for him..)，有没有谁知道的（有点好奇是什么）.终归还是希望，两个流浪汉虽然没有意义地活着，甚至几次想上吊自杀，然而他们依然一直在等Godot，等一种希望，一种拯救，即便最后什么也没等来也依旧等待。。。

介绍作者悲观主义的一段描写看得心都沉寂了，“Man's reason is unreliable. Truth does not exist, or if it does, man can never know it, because no human acts have meaning or purpose and life as a whole is tedious. There is no hope of communication with other human beings, for we are all unreal or false to one another. Knowledge of others and of self is impossible. Man is essentially an intellectual cripple, struggling to survive in an universe for no apparent purpose.”

突然想起课上老师说的现在的人太爱自己而不能爱自己。i.e.太爱自己，不能去爱他人和世界，失去了爱他人和世界的能力，也失去了爱自己的能力。最后那一个个自我支离破碎。
