五月花分享：Australia in My Eyes

On Sept 17th (Saturday afternoon), a Sharing meeting named “Australia in My Eye” was given at City Inn by Wang Fang , an English teacher from Zhejiang Ocean University. During the sharing time, Miss Wang told us her stories in Australia.
9月17日下午（周六下午）临城城市驿站举办了一场名为我“眼中的澳大利亚”的英语分享会。浙江海洋大学英语教师王芳为大家分享了自己在澳洲的所见所闻所思。

Talking about Life in Australia

Wang Fang began with a topic about people’s impression in Australia . She told us that the name of Australia were derived from Latin language. She introduced the general knowledge of Australia such as the geographic feature, the national flag and national anthem of Australia and something about Australia farms, etc. She also shared her studying and life experience in Melbourne and taught us some Australian ways of speaking. Her general survey of and understanding of Australia is really instructive to us .
王芳从人们对澳洲的印象入手开始介绍澳洲的风土人情。她告诉大家澳大利亚的英文名起源于拉丁语言。从地理特征、国旗国歌、农场情况入手，她介绍了有关澳洲的基本知识。她还分享了自己在澳洲的学习、生活经历，并介绍了些澳洲人说英语的习惯表达方式。她对澳洲的概述和理解对我们大有裨益。

The National Flag of Australia

Upon hearing her story about the National Anthem of Australia , we came to know the relationship between the Australia National Anthem and the British National Anthem . Because of her story there，we had a basic knowledge of Melbourne, which has boasted as the most livable city in the world for 6 times . In regard to Melbourne, what attracted us most is Chinatown ,which is dominated by restaurants and is home to a number of Asian grocery stores, Chinese medicine and herbalist centers, bookstores, fashion boutiques and other retail outlets. Throughout the year, there are many traditional festivals and activities, making Chinatown a popular destination in the city center for local, interstate and international visitors.
听了她的介绍后，我们了解了英国国歌和澳洲国歌的联系。我们对墨尔本这个曾6次荣获世界最宜居城市有了基本的了解。其中最让吸引我们的是唐人街，那里各式餐馆遍布四周，各式亚洲杂货商店琳琅满目，各个中医中药店铺兴旺，各种古玩超市星罗棋布。使之成为吸引当地，外地及外国游客的旅游热地。

Her shareing opened eyes of the audience. Almost every one of us participated in the discussion, and gained a new perspective. At last, Wang Fang’s shareing has wrapped up with a big round of applause.
王芳老师的分享让大家大开眼界。在场人员都纷纷发言，深受启发。最后，大家对王芳老师的分享报之以热烈的掌声。
