On Wednesday evening, we went to the Town (Hall). It was the last day of the year and a large crowed crowd of people (had) gathered under the Town Hall clock.It would strike twelve in twenty minites  minutes' time.15 minutes passed and then at five to twelve, the clock stopped.the big minute hand stopped to move  did not move, we waited and waited, but nothing happened. suddenly someone shutted shouted, it's 2 minutes past twelve, the clock has stopped. I looked (at) my watch, and it was true.the (big) clock refused to welcome the new year. at that moment, everybody began to laugh and sing.

2./ʊ/：舌身后缩，舌尖离开下齿；舌后部向软腭抬起，舌位比发/u:/时要低；双唇收圆，稍稍向外凸；是个短元音，发音时嘴形小而圆，嘴角肌肉放松；收腹

3.twelve/twɛlv/

练习感悟：

今天尝试捂耳朵朗读，最大声，最夸张，但没做到最快速，这是李阳疯狂英语提到的，突然想起这个方法，试了一下，感觉还不错，对于练习口腔肌肉有很好效果。twelve第一e发/ɛ/，我总是读成/aɪ/。今天的练习材料是默写的，尝试默写也是个不错的练习方法。
