Philadelphia ,a movie all about justice,respect and love.

I seldom watch movies nor write a review.Philadelphia,a movie required to watch at the English class,cast a strong willing of pondering justice,respect and love over me.

The story took place in America of the last century.Along with aesthetic opera,it's composed of several key words:homosexual,AIDES, and law.Andy, an excellent lawyer who was infected with AIDS unfortunately , was fired unjustly by the company he worked for as the result of discrimination of his incurable disease and his identity as a gay.Joe ,the attorney Andy applied,assisted him to struggled for the justice in the court and finally won the battle before Andy died.

Justice.The law stands for justice and bear no discrimination against race,color and sexual orientation.A competent attorney shouldn't be fired for his "incompetence".

Respect.I am impressed by several details in the movie.At the library,a man advised Andy to go to the research room for reading just because he has AIDS.Andy was turned down 9 times before he got joe to serve as his defender out of personal reasons,that is,AIDS. The society calls for respect for these miserable patients. AIDS won't be infected through normal contacts and we need to respect their human dignity and show our love and concern for them.

Love.It's human's right to choose the person they love regardless of sex.It's love that everyone on the planet chases for and lives on.No one should be blamed for his pursuit of true love.

Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love,brought the story to a relieved end. I have deep sympathy for Andy and I am glad to see the triumph of humanism.Wish our society tolerated less and less prejudice.
