题目：

Lectures were used in the past as a way of teaching a large number of students .As new technology is now availabe for educators ,some people suggest that there is no justification for lectures.

Our world has embarked on a brand-new era of technology , education included .Many people hold that lectures are not so widespread used as before ,since technology can completely substitute them by helping lecturers accomplish teaching work more effectively and more efficiently .As far as I am concerned , lecture ,at present as well as in the future, variably plays an irreplaceable role in education .

Admittedly,the proliferation of technology has revolutionized the way teachers disseminate knowledge to students.For instance, computers can be programmed to simple digits of questions. As the students answer these digits,their theoretical knowledge can be reinforced. Apart from that , with the help of technology, distance education is now practical in many under-developed areas.

However, compared with cold and indifferent screen ,traditional classroom education enjoys more glaring merits .To commence with, facing the vivid delivery from teachers ,students can be highly improved in terms of their motivation and concentration .In addition, instructors can surpass their role of "knowledge transmitters" by providing students with more valuable things,such as bright life outlook, moral integrity and the courage to brave the challenge in life.

My another convincing argument is that the competitive atmosphere in class,pressure from peers, and supervision from teachers all enable learners to keep energetic and passionate ,thus contributing to desirable academic achievement .On the contrary , accompanied by technology alone, the learners are very likely to suffer from interpersonal dysfunction. Accordingly ,the results are largely discounted.

Overall, the contrivance and convenience of technology do diversify humans' learning methods .Nevertheless, for a student with an aim to obtain comprehensive knowledge and to become a well-rounded person ,conventional lectures being a key part .
