Why Mapping EOS on Exchange or AnotherPlatform is not Suggested

If your coins and tokens are all inexchange or other platforms, personally suggest you to withdraw them before theEOS public key mapping on mainnet to your own wallet which you can control theprivate key. E.g. Bitpie, imToken etc. Yet, if you don’t have the ability tomanage your own private key, maybe you can only put your coins in exchange andforfeit the giveaways.

EOS Mapping

EOS ICO will be ended at June 1, 2018 at22:59:59 UTC, 23 hours after the ICO is ended, the EOS tokens issued on the Ethereumwill be stopped for transferring and operation. Therefore, before the ICOending, it is a requisite that the users generate a EOS wallet, and map the EOSpublic key to the Ethereum blockchain, so that after the launching of the EOS mainnet, users can acquire the real EOS coins.

Reasons why do not recommend to save EOS atexchange and platform:

1.   There are many projects’ giveaways will be given through referring

to the snapshots of the EOS genesis block. As longas you successfully mapped the public key, you will get your airdrops after youget your real EOS coins on the mainnet.

2.    The numbers of projects based on EOS platform is also up to EOS ecosystem

building. However, according to its currentdevelopment and community building, we can confidently expect that in the future, there might be many projects which will initiate on EOS blockchain; consequently, many giveaways or airdrops will be plentiful. If you cannot control yourprivate key your will not have the final say of your tokens and coins, otherwise, your airdrops and giveaways will be on determined by the platform.

3.    Nevertheless, the platformand exchange may receive the airdrops on behalf of the users. However, the tokens may be worthless whenyou receive the tokens.

So, I have clarified you the advantage of EOSmapping. The rest is upon your action.

Personally, I recommend you to useBitpie or imToken Walletfor mapping.

Now Bitpie v3.1.2 already supports the “One-clickMapping”; imToken may upgrade next week. For your convenience, I hereby pastethe steps of the EOS Mapping on Bitpie Wallet, indeed, it’s really easy.

Step1. Open Bitpie Wallet (Bitpie.com), select “All”-> ”Common Contract”->” EOSmain chain register” in sequence.
