樵夫的斧子,向大树乞求手柄,

大树慷慨予之。

The woodcutter’s axebegged for its handle from the tree.The tree gave it.

我在寂寞的心里感觉到一丝叹息,

是那孤寡的黄昏,身披着雨和雾。

In my solitude of heart I feel the sigh of this widowed evening veiledwith mist and rain.

贞洁是从丰富多彩的爱情中生出的无价之宝。

Chastity is a wealth that comes from abundance of love.

雾霭多情,游戏在群山深处,变幻着种种惊艳。

The mist, like love, plays upon the heart of the hills and bring outsurprises of beauty.

反说世界误导了我们。

We read the world wrong and say that it deceives us.

怀有诗意的风,穿林越海,

去寻找它自己的声音。

The poet wind is out over the sea and the forest to seek his own voice.

The grass seeks her crowd in the earth.The tree seeks his solitude of the sky.

犹如海潮低吟,拂过静听的松林。

Your voice, my friend, wanders in my heart, like the muffled soundof the sea among these listening pines.
