【President Opening】

Good morning! my dear toastmasters and distinguished guests, thank you all for joining today's regular meeting. I am today's acting president, and it's really good to see you at the start of the weekend.

As you know, we have celebrated our No. 500 meeting last week with a huge party. At this new start, it's meaningful to take a step back to rethink an important question: why we are here? why you are interested and choose to be a toastmaster?

If you have my wechat account, you may know that I have a new hobby recently, Swing Dance. I love it not only because I like jazz music, but more importantly, It brings me pure happiness in the heavy speed and heavy burden life.

Different with other dance, Swing is more like an impromptu dance. With no strict routines, people dance to express themselves by devoting into the music, feel it and echo to it, with no consciousness but only emotions. A philosopher once said "When you are thinking to be yourself, you will never be". while Swing Dance just make me to be myself, to accept and love myself. 

The same as our toastmasters club, here we provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Be yourself, and then be someone. 

Whatever your dreams is, EF Phoenixes will always be a great companion along your way.
