A couple years back I remember that one night I got told off by my mum. I felt very sad and confused. I felt like I didn't like my mum and that she wasn't caring for me. Yesterday was Mother's Day and I feel very different to when I was 9. Not because I had grown up, but because of my realisation of what she has done for me.
Here is a little poem I found for all mothers out there.
(Doesn't make sense in chinese)
What Mums Do
Cook and clean,
Wash and fold,
Keep me warm when I am cold.
Drive me here,
Take me there,
Mum, you sure are everywhere.
School and Sports
We have such fun,
And YOU are there when our day is done.
Tuck me in
to bed so tight,
That is when we say goodnight.
This poem really says what our mums do and makes me and a lot of people realise what our mums are doing. If it weren't for them, your house would look like a pig pen!
If it weren't for your mum, you wouldn't be born!
If it weren't for your mum, you wouldn't have someone to go to if you were sad.
If it weren't for your mum, you wouldn't be the person you are today.
Whoever your mum is, go to her and gove her a hug and a kiss and say, from the bottom of your heart, that you thank them for all that they've done.
Even though sometimes you may get frustrated with her, you can just remember that she has done so much for you and that she only wants whats best for you.
A part of Di Zi Gui states that if your parents ask or call you then you must respond immediately and politely.
I think that they do not state this because they want you to listen to your parents.
I believe that they state this is in the Di Zi Gui, is because that they think that it is your responsibility to listen to the people who gave you everything.
If your mum asks you to get her a cup of water, then consider all the cups of water she has gotten you.
The main point of this whole article and what I am ultimately trying to say is, love your family and what you have.
Appreciate your parents, and of course...
Happy Mothers Day!
