3月3日、周三、第三期，不得不说，今天这几个数字搭配得还挺凑巧的。
所以今天的配乐也选了一首跟三有关的歌曲。
三帅（sunshine），好吧，谐音可耻，还是回到本周的英语屋总结吧。

本期（2021年02月25日—2021年03月03日）英语屋总结如下：
一、地道口语表达：（蓝色字体为学习的内容，括号内容是我自己写的翻译）
1、It's not carved in stone.：（if something is not carved in stone, it can be changed ）
2、a crock：（nonsense, bull shit）
3、trandy：（in fashion）
4、have a way with something or someone：（have connection with something or someone）
5、save it for rainy day：（save money for accident）
6、give a shout out to somebody：（say hello on TV or radio）
7、what have you been up to?： （what have you done lately?）
8、taken aback：（shocked by something, generally describe negative things）
9、slack up （on something/someone）：（to release pressure）
10、get cold feet：（get nervous）
11、I'm stumped：（cannot solve the problem because it is too difficult）
12、slack off：（work less hard, be lazy）
13、be going through a rough patch：（get through a rough situation）
14、a slacker：（lazy person）
15、bawl one's eyes out：（cry）
16、be binding / be bound to：（tie to, connect to something closely）
17、stay on my tail：（follow me closely）
18、throw in the towel：（give up）
19、what for?：（why）
20、hit it off：（if two guys hit it off, they like each other and become friendly just meet）

二、语法部分（介词的使用）
首先，英语中介词有很多。
包括on、in、at、by、with、for、to、of、over、under……等等。
它们的作用都是在英语句子中提供时间、地点、方向等信息。
篇幅有限，本次暂时先总结on、in、at、by四个介词在提供地点信息时的用法。
介词看似简单，实际上却没有明确清晰的方法可以知道应该使用哪个介词，而且，相同的词可以连接不同的介词，从而使句子意思发生改变。
比如：
at the car
in the car
on the car
这些表达都可以，只是句意会有所不同。
因此，介词的使用区别通常难以分辨。
所以呢，要想学习好介词，千万别用中文意思去翻译，那会造成很多不必要的错误。
要想学好介词，必须是和单词连接搭配一起学习才最有效。
例如：
in the morning
at night
it depend on……
He's keen on football.
以单词搭配整体记忆来学习介词，会减少很多表达错误。
另外，通过阅读以英语为母语的人写的文章、新闻、小说等，可以更好的了解到底介词应该如何搭配才是最正确的。
当然，介词的使用也存在一般规则。
接下来，将on / in / at / by 四个介词的使用规则一一说明，以帮助你更好的了解这些介词的使用。

（一）Part 1：（介词 on / in / at / by 表示地点的使用）
1、in的使用：（three-dimensional——表示三维空间时使用）
in（being within something、inside the edges——在有明确边缘界限的空间或容器里）
I've got the key in my pocket.
She left it in the top drawer.
There's nothing left in my cup.
in（with buildings or rooms——在四面环绕的建筑里）
Can you take a seat in the waiting room, please?I've left my bag in your office.
Why don't we have a picnic in
in（areas、regions、cities——在边界不是特别明确的区域）
I'm filming this video in Spain.
I grew up in Melbourne.
Holidaying in France is easy if you speak French!
in（a group of people——讨论人群时）
She works in the finance team, surrounded by people.
He got selected to play in the national team.
——注意例外：当表示高级人群时，如成员通过选举得出，则需要使用on
He's on the board.
They're on the committee
in（liquids——在液体或其他物质里）
Careful! There's a lot of chilli in that sauce.
There's too much sugar in soft drinks.
Do you have milk in your coffee?
2、on的使用：（two-dimensional——表示二维空间时使用）
on（surfaces——表示在物体的表面上）
My phone is on the table.
You can see a painting on the wall behind me.
We live on the fourth floor of the building.
on（flat surfaces——包括街道、马路、河流、海洋、湖畔等平面上）
The supermarket is on the corner of Martin Street.
Nice is on the south coast of France.
What's that on the water?
We'll take you out on the lake, in our boat.
We'll be on the lake, in our boat.
3、at的使用：（one-dimensional——表示一维空间时使用）
at（specific places、points in space——表示特定的位置以及某一空间点）
Sarah's still at school.
I'll meet you at the bus stop.
at（public places、shops——表示在公共地点和商场）
I studied design at college or school or university.
Let's meet at the station.
We have to stop at the supermarket on the way home.
at（addresses——表示地址时）
They live at 14 Eagle Road.
I'll meet you at the corner of Beach Street and Park Road.
at（events——表示事件时）
We met at a party.
He's speaking at a conference later this week.
4、by的使用：
by（next、beside、near——表示旁边或附近）
Put your bag by the door and sit down.
They live by the school.
今天实在是太忙了，将近十一点才把part1部分关于介词在表示地点上的使用规则总结完，差点都要来不及推送了。
至于part2关于介词在表示时间上的使用规则就放到下期英语屋中总结吧。
不过，要注意的是，这里介绍的只是一般规则，介词使用中仍有许多例外，需要在平时阅读和使用中积累，才能保证正确的使用。
