常见的“尽管如此”的表达有although, though, despite, in spite of...这里列几个阅读中常出现但自己用时往往想不到的。
1.all the same: despite what has just been said:
All the same, they still cry for you.
It rained every day of our holiday - but we had a good time all the same.
2. that said; that being said
I was always impressed by my father’s accomplishments and viewed him as a wonderful role model.That said,(尽管如此) I couldn’t have been more surprised when my father got annoyed with me after I showed him one of my new business cards.
They didn’t sing carols or play games, but there was something restful about the easy companionship of four people who felt warmly towards each other and were just grateful for good food and a day or two off work.That being said(尽管如此), all day Alice feared the knock on the door, the inevitable confrontation.
3.spacious as it is
spacious as it is, 尽管很宽敞 this car isn’t big enough for two people who aren’t talking to each other.
as引导的让步倒装从句是很常见的结构，阅读的时候随处可见，可自用的时候通常是试卷的Vocabulary and Grammar中遇到，看题看选项看题，反应出是让步倒装这个语法点，找出正确答案，不然就凭运气了。这个结构的应用多半也就停留于此了。
4.whereas，常用来表示对比，相当于while，也可以表“尽管”
Whereas the city spent over $1 billion on its museums and stadium, it failed to look after its schools.尽管
