题目大意：报纸是获得最新信息的最好途径，因为它比其他形式的媒体更具影响力，问多大程度上同意与否?
本题是含有绝对词的一类题目，语气过于强烈，立场选择为反驳题目观点更好写。我的观点是报纸是获取最新消息的一种途径，但是与之相比还有更好的选择，比如社交媒体(Facebook,Twitter,Instagram)，理由参见文末。
本题可以与新概念英语三 Lesson 45 The power of press 新闻报道的威力 结合起来，因为报纸也是新闻传播的媒介。

In democratic countries any efforts to restrict the freedom of the press are rightly condemned. However, this freedom can easily be abused. Stories about people often attract far more public attention than political events. Though we may enjoy reading about the lives of others, it is extremely doubtful whether we would equally enjoy reading about ourselves. Acting on the contention that facts are sacred, reporters can cause untold suffering to individuals by publishing details about their private lives. Newspapers exert such tremendous influence that they can not only bring about major changes to the lives of ordinary people but can even overthrow a government.
The story of a poor family that acquired fame and fortune overnight, dramatically illustrates the power of the press. The family lived in Aberdeen, a small town of 23,000 inhabitants in South Dakota. As the parents had five children, life was a perpetual struggle against poverty. They were expecting their sixth child and were faced with even more pressing economic problems. If they had only had one more child, the fact would have passed unnoticed. They would have continued to struggle against economic odds and would have lived in obscurity. But they suddenly became the parents of quintuplets, an aeroplane arrived in Aberdeen bringing sixty reporters and photographers.
The rise to fame was swift. Television cameras and newspapers carried the news to everyone in the country. Newspapers and magazines offered the family huge sums for the exclusive rights to publish stories and photographs. Gifts poured in not only from unknown people, but room baby food and soap manufacturers who wished to advertise their products. The old farmhouse the family lived in was to be replaced by new $500,000 home. Reporters kept pressing for interviews so lawyers had to be employed to act as spokesmen for the family at press conferences. While the five babies were babies were still quietly sleeping in oxygen tents in hospital nursery, their parents were paying the price for fame. It would never again be possible for them to lead normal lives. They had become the victims of commercialization, for their names had acquired a market value. Instead of being five new family members, these children had immediately become a commodity.

Indeed, newspaper is one of the most effective ways to access the latest information, however, it is still not as fast as other kinds of social medias such as Facebook, twitter and Linkin, etc. Meanwhile, we cannot ignore the negative effects that newspapers may cause untold sufferring to individuals by pubilishing details about peoples private lives and exert tremendouss influence that they can not only bring about major changes to the lives of ordinary people but can even overthrow a government.
写作版本2：
In terms of timeliness, news transmission through newspaper is less effective than the Internet. For example, the manufacturing of a newspaper is a complicated and time-consuming process, which means the update of information in newspaper is day-to-day and its news are always focused on the yesterday. In comparison, news on the Internet can be edited and issued in very minute. That is to say, in terms of the function of ensuring the freshness of news, the Internet is far beyond the out-of-mode newspaper.
4.As the parents had five children, life was a perpetual struggle against poverty. 全家人常年在贫困中挣扎。大家体会这句话的语法结构的完整性，如果去掉as引导的原因状语从句，没有语法错误，但是逻辑却不够完整。
5.Faced with even more pressing economic problems 面临着更为严峻的经济问题。我们可以运用到雅思写作犯罪类题目中，例如：社会犯罪率上升的原因：Facing with pressing economic problems, people have to steal money or food to support themselves and therefore commit a crime.
6.Newspapers and magazines offered the family huge sums for the exclusive rights to publish stories and photographs. 报纸、杂志出高价向他们购买文字、图片的独家报道权。
7.Gifts poured in not only from unknown people, but from baby food and soap manufacturers who wished to advertise their products. 我们可以将横线上短语改写成新闻媒体的好处：Newspapers and social networking sites may be the most effective ways for companies to advertise their products.
8.They had become the victims of commercialization, for their names had acquired a market value. 我们可以改写成广告的坏处：A great many people have become the victims of advertisements，for the quality of a product is not compliant with their exquisite description on TV or billboards.
回归到文章开头提到的2018.3.10写作真题，我们还可以给出如下理由：
1.从新闻传递的方式看，报纸远远比不上互联网。举例，现在人们已经可以通过电脑，手机来获取新闻信息，这比在报摊上排队买报纸方便，舒适得多。
The first reason against this assertion is about the news transmission. Obviously, in a digital age driven by IT technology, the media of newspaper has been much inferior to the Internet, because by the latter the audience can conveniently and comfortably read news on the screen of computers at home or cell phones in walking. In other words, the Internet, instead of print media, makes news universally available for the readers.
2.报纸的影响力远远比不上互联网。报纸由于收费和只在某些地方发行，所以影响力有限。相反，互联网的信息获取和传播是免费的，不受到空间限制。换句话说，一个小小的地域性新闻也能吸引全球数亿网名的注意。
Some people believe that newspaper is far less influential than the Internet. In fact, the influence of a newspaper is always limited, due to it has production costs and only issued in certain countries and areas. In contrast, online news is characterized by free of charge and boundlessness, which can maximize the impact and publicity of a news globally, because all Internet users worldwide could be potential readers of this news, with no geographic limitation.
