The Martian week 1

1. What is so engrossing about the book is that Watney is constantly in peril and you’re thinking “how can he possibly get out of this?” and he brilliantly comes up with ingenious and credible solutions that carry him a little bit forward. Mark Watney’s snarky humor as he goes about the mechanics of surviving on Mars. He comes off as a very likable guy who’s thrown into an almost-impossible situation and manages to keep his wits about him and solve.
