Regarding the more effective way of studying

I often see many people seeking for more effective way to improve their English level, read a book or other learning goals. During the process, someone would like to choose doing alone and some prefer to go for working with others in a group. Personally, I tend to finish a task with others in a group. I will give Some reasons below.

First of all, working with others in a group is easy to stick at a long-term resolution. Sometimes, some people like to study alone. Though there are enough enthusiasm to perform their plans at the early stage, most of them will give up in the medium-term. Statistically, only ten percent people can insist in finishing the task alone per the new year’s resolutions. During the spring festival of last year, I joined an English learning group in WeChat. I followed other people together to recite New concept English. At that time, I didn’t know whether I could keep on the habit to finish this plan. Occasionally, I wanted to give up the plan due to other personal things, but when I saw other members always stuck at learning and updated their records in the WeChat, I also encouraged myself to continue to recite the English articles. Happily, at the end of last year, I had recited five times. I must admit that the plan finished smoothly was from the team members’ encouragement.

Second of all, team learning can get some different skills or learning methods from each other. All members’ abilities can be improved together. Last year, when I learned English with a team group, one of the team members shared his approaches with us, for example, how to improve our listening, add vocabulary and communicate with foreigners with English and so on. For me, to improve my English level, I insist in writing a letter to God every day besides writing a topic about TOEFL spoken. Then I like to share the TOEFL spoken writing to Jianshu website. A total of eighty topics needs to be finished. Until today, I have written twenty-one topics and have kept on the habit for twenty-one days. Sometimes, I also desire I can get some comments from the website to inspirit my learning motivation. I am glad to see that my writing topics are selected to the translation team.

In a word, I think the more effective way of studying is working with others in a group instead of studying alone. In this way, not only all members can help each other, but also everyone gets various effective solutions against their own shortcomings from different angles.
