按章翻译《道德经》第22章

曲则全,枉则直,洼则盈,敝则新,少则得,多则惑;是以圣人抱一为天下式;不自见故明,不自是故彰,不自伐故有功,不自矜故长,夫唯不争故天下莫能与之争;古之所谓曲则全者岂虚言哉,故诚全而归之

能受委屈才可保全,矫枉过正才能直立,保持低洼方可积累,出现破旧才能置新,出现短缺激发获取,拥有众多造成困惑。所以圣人坚守中庸一体,是天下通行的模式。不自我表现,反而让人明白;不自以为是,反而受到赞扬,不亲自出战,反而可以建功,不骄傲自满,反而能做首领。唯有不争,天下无人能和你争夺。古人讲的委屈才能成全的说法,并非虚假呀,诚心保全,则众人归顺。

It is bendable that keep it unbroken, it is rectified that make it straight; it is lower that make it accumulated, it is old that make it renovated, it is lack that make it obtained, it is too much that make it confused. Therefore saints keep in neutral which is pattern of nature. it is well-known without self-expression, it is praised without self-righteous. it could be successful without self-operation, it can be the leader without arrogant. No one in the world can compete with you, if you do not strive for anything. The old saying that grievances can make it complete is not false. If we can keep it completely, the people will follow.
