引言:

这个DIY挺有意思的。用的是光电二极光来测量电子(beta)、alpha,测量的能量范围为:33 keV to 8 MeV。

我自己目前一直在做的是用相机上的像素(pixel sensors)来做高能粒子的探测。现在正在写粒子识别的软件程序。

一直还没有考虑能量刻度的事情。将来做到能量刻度这一部分的时候,这个DIY里的能量刻度可以作为方法参考。

- how does it work: "Tiny amounts of electrical charge are generated in repurposed photodiodes by impinging particles. The charges form currents which are amplified and converted into voltage pulses that are compatible with audio/microphone signal inputs. The size of the pulse is proportional to the energy deposited by the ionising radiation. A reference calibration with sources of known energy spectra is provided."
