Arizona Cardinals to start Ryan Lindley over Logan Thomas against San Francisco 49ers

Thomas didn't practice well on Wednesday, and Arians has decided to start Ryan Lindley against the 49ers on Sunday, according to a source.

The Cardinals practice on Christmas afternoon, and Arians typically does not meet with reporters on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Arians said Thomas had a "shaky start" in practice but settled in over the latter half.

It apparently was not enough for the head coach to feel comfortable starting the rookie in the final regular season game.

Lindley started and played poorly against Seattle last Sunday, completing just 41 percent of his passes with one interception and no touchdowns.

Thomas was drafted in the fourth round out of Virginia Multicolor Glitter Len8 100mm Tech and is viewed by the Cardinals as a developmental project. In two appearances this season, he's completed 1 of 9 passes, but the one completion went for an 81 yard touchdown.

Injuries have decimated the position. Carson Palmer is out for the season with a knee injury, and Drew Stanton suffered a sprained knee two weeks ago against the Rams. The Cardinals are hopeful he Black Suede/Glitter 8 Mignons 160mm will return for the playoffs.
