 Scope of Role:

· Manage 1st and 2nd line support for users and day to day incidents, requests for change, inc. purchase and delivery of new products and services and work closely with ITSC, OSV and RTS for technical support.

· Maintain efficient and highly resilient production systems and provide technical support for all trader voice, E-business and standard chartered business products.

· Accountable for the implementation and ongoing verification of Security patch’s (OS and Virus) within SCB locations.

· To manage vendors including on-site support engineers (OSV)

· To assist in new implementations or upgrades to existing systems, including project management, tracking and reporting

· To assist in the provision of business recovery sites to give the ability to conduct business transactions and monitor exposure in the event of a disaster.

· Risk management control, KCS assistance, SIP initiatives and reporting, including Technical audit compliance, directly and indirectly.

· Problem and change (Scheduled change & DSSR) management – outstanding problem\change management, call logging, call trends, call reporting including high severity problem control. All remedy related initiatives and updates. Ensuring standards are adhered to, or dispensations raised

· Protectors of the local environment, including responsibility to ensure safe and tidy IT installations and cabling, local regulatory compliance, health and safety adherence etc

 

Key Responsibilities/Challenges:

 

· Oversee and manage all aspects of CSS operation in West China

· Act as local contact and ensure compliance of local regulatory polices

· Perform as local IT presence to participate meetings & branch open exams requested by regulators

· Lead OSV team to provide technology support to business user

· Close interlock with regional business and deliver solution to fulfill business needs2

 

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

Technical:

· Has IT experience, with extensive exposure to client/server systems in LAN/WAN environments, Internet technology and computer security.

· Experienced in IT project management and production support.

· Extensive exposure in Corporate and Institutional Banking services and the IT environments, especially in a Core Market country.

· In depth understanding of the end-to-end IT infrastructure that supports the C&IB services, including mainframe, mid-ranges (Unix), client-server (Windows2003), networking (CISCO Switch, Router), telecommunications (PABX).

· Expert knowledge of technologies and industry trends in relation to business requirements, and the direction of the Group.

· Previous experience of banking application implementation is preferred

 

Non-technical:

· Strong interpersonal and organizing skills

· Service Management skills and techniques

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team

· Very good communications skills

· Good communication skills especially excellent writing skills in English and Chinese; Fluent

· Completing tasks within deadlines

· Man management of external (vendor) resources

· Ability to train operational staff in new procedures

· Strong troubleshooting/problem assessment skills

· Must be able to prioritise tasks

· Must be flexible in terms of tasks

· Those who demonstrates the qualities: Courageous, Responsive, International, Creative and Trustworthy will be favourably considered

· Knowledge of banking is preferred
