程序本地化所引起的问题 With Office Communicator 2007R2"Limited External Calling"

先简单描述下环境,OCS2007EE+SQL2008+EDGE.本来打算和狂风落雪把OCS2007R2 EDGE 用ISA2006 发布的试验做一下.没想到碰到下面的问题.

部署完成后,登陆,OC2007r2,发现有个叹号.说什么”限制的外部呼叫”…

如下图.

先说说我的思路吧..也许不是和合理,但在这里,也把一些基本的方法交给大家.

1.日志查看.这个是很重要的工具之一.往往会给我们提供很多有价值的信息.

2.OCS服务器自带的验证.这也是OCS里面很重要的一个组件.

我先对Edge Server做验证.看看是不是edge那里出了什么问题..

果然,出现了警告.不过,依照以往的经验来判断.出现警告的话,不是很大的问题..

很清楚的告诉你,是缺少DNS SRV记录..可以忽略了..说明edge server没错..

我们在回到OCS前端,去做个验证..

问题,就出来了..

确实有点纳闷.

Edge Server的A/V 验证出现了问题,可刚刚在edge server上面都没问题..

现按照,上面的提示.做做看.

后面的省略……

最后不管怎么样做,还是不行…

 

今天早上,本来在打算看看.偶然看到Joachim Farla写的一篇文章,里面如是说.

Together with Microsoft, we validated the Edge configuration, did some tracing, and couldn’t find anything wrong with the edge server. .e of the problems that kept coming up was a vague “Version MisMatch” error in the snooper logs. .e of our troops at Microsoft took a closer look and noted that the edge server was complaining about a version 2,0 instead of a 2.0. Yes, you read that correctly, a comma instead of a period.

We never thought of the fact that we installed the servers with Dutch localization, and apparently, Microsoft didn’t either. .e of the main differences when using a European localization, is the change in number notation. Where the US locale uses a notation like $ 1,000,000.00 , us Europeans will use  � 1.000.000,00 . This caused the Edge server to be unable to recognize any version numbers coming in.

This bug has been reported to Microsoft, and is in the process of being fixed. In the meantime, you can work around this issue in the following manner;

• On the Edge server, add the Edge Service account to local administrators and logoff.
• Logon using the Edge Service account
• Go to control panel, Regional and Language options.
• Change the format to English (US).
• Remove the Service Account from the local administrators and reboot.
