License Server Version 11.9 Installation on Windows Server 2003 Hangs

 When installing License Server 11.9 on Windows Server 2003, the setup might stop responding and cannot be cancelled. The following message is displayed:

“Please wait while the Setup Wizard installs Citrix Licensing.”

Cause

The issue occurs because a Microsoft Hotfix is not installed.

Resolution

Following are some of the resolutions to resolve the preceding issue:

• Install Microsoft KB956572 as specified in the Forum Post.
• Install all patches for Windows 2003 based on the following from Citrix eDocs:
  “The Citrix License Server might stop during installation on Windows 2003 x86 and x64.
  Workaround: Install all the Microsoft Service Packs and updates. [#32050]”
