gvim+taglist setup

1. Install gvim.

   sudo apt-get install vim-gtk

 

2.  Install ctags

   sudo apt-get install ctags

 

3. Download taglist

   there will 2 folders doc & plugin after extract, and you can also use the taglist_45.zip in this package, I've modified somewhere

 

4. Create a folder .vim under /home/username/, and put doc & plugin into .vim

 

5. Edit vimrc

   edit /etc/vim/vimrc, add following sentences onto the end of vimrc

          

       filetype plugin on

 

           let Tlist_Ctags_Cmd = '/usr/bin/ctags'

           let Tlist_Show_One_File = 1

           let Tlist_Exit_OnlyWindow = 1

           let Tlist_Use_Right_Window = 1

 

           set tags=tags;

           set autochdir

           set number

 

6. Enter ‘yourproject’folder, ctags -R to generate tags
